Just came across another good use for this forum - a new volunteer signing up for 1st time asked about what to expect.
This will be a great place to get them welcomed & interact with those of us who have 'been there'

Well thanks, Harry and co., for getting this site launched! Not sure who was responsible for the graphics, Mary maybe?, but it looks great.
Some possible topics for posts, just to get us thinking as we try this out…..
I could:
Post a photo of Jim’s new Volvo wagon and wish him happy motoring.
Ask Cindy if she has any perennials to share
List the ingredients in this morning’s lasagna sauce (there were many)

Vince - I'm gathering a list of things we need to get this rolled out and set some community guidelines. There are a ton of features available and we need to be careful as to not have the system overrun us.
Also -- we pre-populated a handful of topics (off to the right here) in order to keep some order and the poster has to pick a topic area to put their post in. It should help keep things somewhat organized so folks can find them.

At Vince McKay’s suggestion, we needed a better way to keep in touch with volunteers interactively. Sign-up Genius really is only one way communication and not everyone is on Facebook. We can create new Topic categories as we feel our way through this! I love the idea of recipe sharing!!
